The album ‘This Moment’ by the band ‘Shakti’ has won a Grammy award for the ‘best global music album’ category for ‘This Album’ at the Los Angeles event.
The band comprises renowned musicians such as Shankar Mahadevan as the vocalist, tabla player Ustad Zakir Hussain, guitarist John McLaughlin and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan.
The album features eight songs.
The fusion band was competing with others such as Burna Bay, Davido, Bokante and Susana Baca.
